B Is For Beautiful Skincare Review/First Impressions

I went a bit crazy shopping online for skincare recently.

Now all I wanted was a simple packet of face wipes and I was looking at all the brands and deciding which one was best for my skin when I got a bit side tracked and bought a lot more than I was originally supposed to.

This isn’t normal person crazy. Normal person crazy would be that multiple boxes came through the post and filled the hall with little to none moving space in-between. When I go crazy it means that instead of buying one thing I buy 5 things with an additional two things come through as added extras in one big box.

However, I have never used any of these products before and I am very excited to try them so I thought that I would give you guys a little first impressions of these products. Side note – Incase I haven’t made it clear in the title this is about skincare. Now these all have slightly confusing names and I have honestly no clue what half of them are and I am so glad right now that I don’t have to say the names to anyone right now because I can’t pronounce it correctly for the life of me. Also, I would like to say that I had perfect natural lighting the day before this came in the post and now it has gone all rainy again so the pictures aren’t that great which is upsetting but oh well.

This is all from the brand B is for beautiful and it is cruelty-free, paraben free and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans which I think is nice. The first item I brought is the skin wipes I wanted to buy in the beginning. Can I make it clear that I ordered three packets of these so if I don’t like them I have a lot of spare wipes.

This is from the B. Pure range and they are the sensitive micellar cleansing wipes. The wipes don’t really have a fragrance and are not dry which is always good. They are textured which adds an exciting visual element. They are smooth on the face and my face feels pretty clean. I get a really oily forehead and this wipe washes away all the oils and left it feels soft and smooth like the rest of my face. That is a really big thing for me. If my forehead is still oily then I feel like it hasn’t cleaned my face at all and it was just pointless so if these wipes had failed that test I would have had to have gone on my search for some more wipes again because they wouldn’t have cut it for me. So, my first impressions of these face wipes is they nice to touch, don’t leave any trace of my oily forehead behind and have not caused my sensitive skin to inflame. Most products fail at the last one and I was really impressed. I will be certainly using these again.

The next product is the B. Revealed glycolic cleansing peel. I had no clue what this was and it sounded cool so I decided I would give it a go.

The “definition” like thing on the back says

B. Revealed is a dual action cleansing polisher. It gently softens and buffs away dull, dead skin cells for a smooth, youthful-looking complexion”.

I read the directions on the back because if I didn’t I would be likely to mess up. Inside the box, you have a tube with the actual product inside and a muslin cloth. Now when I went to put this product on my face firstly, it has a slight fragrance which I find to be pleasant and secondly this product is a very thick cream. The instructions did not specify how much of this product I should be applying on my face so I did a moderately thin layer all over my face and neck and then set a timer for the 3 minutes specified. Depending on how busy your evening/morning/life in general is you may not have time to use this product. This is something you should use 2-3 times a week. After the 3 minutes was up I dampened the muslin cloth and washed it off. This was slightly challenging as when I put it on the cream was white and it turned clear 3 minutes after and that made it hard to know where it was in order for me to rinse it off. However, I think I succeeded in the end and I have to say that my skin is so smooth and soft it is unreal. This also made my forehead extremely matte and non-glossy and all traces of oil have been swept away showing my skin as it is naturally supposed to be and I for one am extremely impressed by this brand so far.

The last product I spontaneously brought is the B. Refreshed essence lotion. IMG_4460.JPGFrom what I understand of all the words on the bottle this replenishes your skin with 12-hour intense moisture. Although we are now technically in spring the air is still really cold where I live and I get dry skin everywhere which is really annoying as you can’t use concealer over it without it looking weird and that just leads to further complications which I am not prepared to deal with. So, having zilch dry skin would be nice so I bought this product to give it a go and see if it can help. This is a clear liquid and it is for all skin types. Just saying that I really like the packaging on all of these products. The design is unique and sophisticated which draws people’s attention. It also doesn’t vary from product to product it is that set design which I also like. It smells like my grandma’s house and I’m not sure why. However, this smell is pleasant and I quite enjoy it. At first, when I put a few drops in my hand I thought it was an oil type thing and panicked. I hate the feel of oil on my skin and I know that it can be good as a moisturiser and such but I really hate the feel of it against my skin so I almost threw the product out right there and then. But it turns out that it isn’t an oil and all is well so I put it on my face and gently patted it in like the instructions told me to. Unlike most things that are supposed to moisturise this did not feel weird against my forehead and did not produce any excess oil that I would have to deal with. My skin still feels really soft and I can’t tell much of a difference between before I put it on and after. However, with extended use, I feel like I will see some more prominent results.

All in all, I have been really impressed with these products that I have brought and will be definitely looking at some of their other ranges and perhaps purchase them as well. If you have used any products from this brand before I would like to hear your opinion of them so, please comment it below.

We have reached 600 followers on Instagram! Whoopeeeeeeee! I have been busy of late which is why this post which was supposed to be in honour of reaching 500 followers is so late. However, I have another post lined up and ready to be written for you guys so stay tuned that could be up in a week depending on how productive I am and whether or not I get good lighting for the pictures required.

Review:BonneBombe bath bombs

Hi guys!

About a week ago my dad went to Kent and he found a shop called BonneBombe and because he knew I loved bath bombs and stuff like that he went in and brought me some.

I asked him a few questions about the place seeing as I wasn’t there and therefore didn’t know some of the key details like was the person working there nice and helpful and did you enjoy the experience of buying the bath bombs.

So firstly I can tell you that the room they are in will smell of whatever you have brought so choose a nice scent. I have to say my room smells rather odd as it just got painted and the mixture of paint and bath bombs is rather peculiar.

Also each of the bath bombs I got look amazing especially the big ones. The details on the bath bombs are amazing and just look so pretty.

I got three big ones and a bag full of little ones.

We will start with the little ones.

They came in a bag that looks like an old sweetshop bag  (see photos at the bottom)

Inside are lots of miniature bath bombs that look like little sweets. I actually thought they were sweets so if you are buying it for someone make sure you tell them they are bath bombs and not sweets. I have a feeling eating bath bombs is not the best idea in the world.

They are multi-coloured and each one smells different to the last. I will not try and describe the scents because

  • I would end up repeating a lot of words
  • I suck at describing smells
  • There is no labels so I’m kinda on my own with guessing what they smell like (I know what they smell like but I can’t put that into words)

However all of them in the bag together smells amazing. There are some that I prefer more than others but I will use all of them.

They are also really pretty colours.

Onto the big bath bombs.

I got three big bath bombs and I can tell you the scent of one of them confidently and one not so confidently. The other one doesn’t match any smells in my head.

The one I can tell you confidently is half a really pretty baby pink and the other half a much brighter and more vibrant pink. I think this one will turn your bath pink for some reason.

On the top of the bath bomb is like the icing on a cupcake with red little sprinkles.

On top of all that is a strawberry (not real obviously) that looks a bit like the haribo giant strawberry’s but more life like than that.

All in all I think that bath bomb looks amazing and smells amazing.

Next the second one.

This one is yellow.

Like a minion.

It has nothing to do with minions.

I think.

It is all one shade of yellow apart from the top.

One the top of it there is yellow cupcake icing (in bath bomb form) with little golden balls and golden stars.

It also looks like it has a little yellow sweet on it.

It smells (to me) mangoey (I don’t think that is a word) and lemony.

Again looks amazing and smell amazing.

The last one is the one I can’t describe the smell of but it’s my favourite of them all.

I’m not the keenest on the scent of this one but the decorations on this one makes up for it completely.

This one is mostly a glittery yellow colour. This amount of glitter is a good amount of glitter because it doesn’t get everywhere when you touch it.

Then this one has white glittery cupcake icing on it with what looks like chocolate sprinkles on it.

It doesn’t smell of chocolate though :-(.

Then it has the most adorable bumble bee on the top of it.

A bumble bee is in my top five favourite animals.

I don’t know where it is in the top five but its somewhere.

Maybe three I don’t know.

I think this one is my favourite decoration wise. This one is the only one with an absolutely adorable bumble bee on top of it after all. The glitter also helps.

I think my favourite smelling one is the strawberry one however the mango lemon one is a very close second.

Overall I’m very impressed with the shop but what did my dad think??

I asked him four questions and here are his answers:

Question one:

When you went into BonneBombe was the atmosphere inside nice and friendly?

Answer:

Yes it was

Question two:

Was the person/people there nice and friendly?

Answer:

Very helpful and friendly

Question 3:

Did you like the experience of buying the bath bombs?

Answer:

Yes I did

Question 4:

Any other things you liked/disliked about the shop?

Answer:

I liked the fact the owner was very willing to help and talk about delivery.

So I am going to predict that the shop is a very nice place to go to.

I am slightly disappointed I couldn’t go :-(.

Oh well.

I will update this with more photos and a more in depth review when I test these out but I can’t yet for a reason I will tell you soon.

Look just below this sentence for the pictures I have taken so far of the bath bombs. Now you know what part of my arm looks like.

Review:Animal Crossing:Happy Home Designer

Hi guys!

Firstly I hope you all had an amazing Easter and didn’t make yourself sick from eating too much chocolate. Anyway onto the actual review.

Recently I brought the game Animal Crossing:Happy Home Designer for my Nintendo 3ds on Amazon because I thought the advert for it looked quite interesting.

It was released on June 30 2015 so it’s almost a year old and it’s part of the Animal Crossing series.

I have previously brought Animal Crossing:Wild  World which was brought out for Nintendo ds November 23 2005 and Animal Crossing:New Leaf which was brought out in the EU June 14 2013.

I enjoyed both of those games so I made an educated guess that I would like this one.

In this game you are the new employee at Nooks Homes and you have to design a variety of buildings after being given a check list of the things you need in that particular room.

As you get further in the game you get much bigger projects to complete and you will have multiple rooms to decorate.

I don’t normally like games that you have to guess what the customer wants because I get nervous to see whether they like it or not ( Normally they don’t like it )

However, with this game I found that I didn’t get nervous at all and I was able to enjoy it more than other games of its type.

Also note that you can get a NFC reader/writer and amibo cards which can help you get further but they are not compulsory to play the game.

If you shop around you will find that you can get packs which come with the NFC reader , an amibo card and the game and that could be cheaper than buying the game on its own.

It has kept me entertained for hours and I don’t think I’m that far through.

Each thing I’ve had to design has taken me 10-20 minutes depending on how big the project is.

It is practically the same controls as Animal Crossing:New Leaf so people who have played that will find it pretty easy to control.

For people who have never played Animal Crossing:New Leaf they may find it slightly harder to control however you should pick up the controls easily and quickly.

To test this out I got my brother to play the game after having no previous knowledge of how to play. I didn’t tell him anything and he managed to control it straight away with no problems.

Good things:

  1. Easy to control
  2. Doesn’t make you nervous
  3. Addicting and lots of fun for hours on end
  4. Good for long car journeys
  5. Lets your creativity shine through

Bad things:

  1. The town has gone
  2. You can’t design your own house
  3. You can’t do much outside of your job

Other than those few bad things it’s a really fun and interesting.

I rate it 8/10 and would definitely recommend to my friends.

My honest opinion of the game is that it is really fun but it is sad that you can’t customize your own house and that the town is gone. I think that should be able to earn money from the job and be given days off and then on days off you would be able to shop for new furniture to decorate your own house. However, it seems to me like it has endless possibilities and would be a great game for a creative person.

It says on the box for people 3 or older and I agree with that.

Also you can use play coins to get special lessons that unlocks new stuff.

If you like my blog please click follow. That button should be in the bottom right hand corner of your screen if you are on a computer. I still can’t find that button for people on mobile at the moment but if you find it on mobile please comment saying where you found it. It would make my day/night if you follow so please take 30 seconds out of your time to do that.

Also comment down below what your favourite video game is and which ones I should review.

I know I’m a bit late to be reviewing this game seeing as it is nearly a year old but I don’t really care. I mean I don’t care that my review is late I care about you lots and lots.

Thank you for reading and hopefully I’ll see you soon when I write another blog. Bye!!

p.s those pictures below are photos of the game, NFC reader/writer, box the NFC reader/writer came in and the box they came in when brought together.
